Environmental Responsibility: Sustainable Organic Palm Oil Production

The plantation and processing facilities are owned and managed by IOI Group, a founding company of the global palm oil industry and a pioneer in sustainable palm oil production. For the introduction of Organic Palm Oil to the North American market, IOI Group works exclusively with Spack.

The sustainable organic palm oil plantation is founded on the principles of environmental stewardship, ensuring that no new land is deforested for palm oil cultivation. Instead, we focus on repurposing degraded lands, which helps avoid the destruction of natural habitats and protects endangered species. By preserving forested areas and maintaining wildlife corridors, we contribute to the region’s biodiversity.

We employ agroforestry practices, planting native trees and ground cover alongside palm trees. This not only prevents soil erosion but also encourages biodiversity, allowing wildlife and agriculture to coexist. Our commitment to organic farming means we avoid synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, instead using natural compost and mulch to maintain soil health. We further enhance soil fertility through crop rotation and the use of cover crops, which also prevent erosion.

Social Responsibility: Fair Labor and Ethical Practices

Fair Labor and Ethical Practices

Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected in how we treat our workers and engage with local communities. Every worker receives fair wages, proper housing, and access to healthcare and education. We strictly prohibit child labor and forced labor, ensuring that all working conditions meet the highest safety standards.

rspo certifiedAs a RSPO-certified (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) plantation, we adhere to strict environmental and social standards that prevent deforestation, protect human rights, and promote sustainability. Our goal is to produce sustainable palm oil that benefits both people and the planet.

Organic and Sustainable Farming Practices

We rely on organic farming methods, avoiding chemical inputs and using natural pest control techniques such as introducing beneficial insects and implementing companion planting. These practices ensure that our organic palm oil is produced without harming the environment or human health.

Our plantation operates on a zero-waste system. By-products like empty fruit bunches, palm kernel shells, and palm fibers are repurposed as compost or biomass for renewable energy, reducing waste and lowering our carbon footprint. We also play an active role in carbon sequestration, absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere, contributing to global efforts in combating climate change.

Conclusion: Leading the Way in Sustainable Organic Palm Oil

Our sustainable organic palm oil plantation sets the standard for responsible agriculture. By integrating environmental conservation, social responsibility, and organic farming practices, we produce palm oil that benefits both people and the planet. Together, we are working toward a brighter, more sustainable future.
